The Family Wellbeing Empowerment Program has been running here in Yarrabah for more than 20 years.
Since its introduction, the Family Wellbeing program has run over 100 Empowerment programs throughout the community and directly changed the lives of hundreds of Yarrabah families.

Men’s Family Wellbeing Program – 12 weeks
When: Tues Feb 6 – May 7 – 12 weeks
Time: 9:30 – 12 noon
Where: Men’s Space – Noble Drive Yarrabah
This incredible 12-week program will enable participants to understand and identify what is important to them, and as a group collectively build personal strategies and powerful community connections that will have a positive and lasting effect upon them and their families.
The 12-week journey takes participants through a range of topics, presented in an open and supportive environment. Beliefs and attitudes, relationships, dealing with crises and emotions, conflict resolution, self-care and setting lasting and achievable goals are all topics within this powerful program.

Tackling Indigenous Smoking Launch
When: Monday April 8
Time: 8:30 – 12noon
Where: Jilara Oval, Back Beach Road, Yarrabah
Join with the Gurriny Yealamucka Heath Services Team and Deadly Choices for the official launch of the Tackling Indigenous Smoking program in Yarrabah.
Rugby League greats, Petro Civonicena and Willie Tonga (Deadly Choices Ambassadors) will be attendance.
Commencing at 8.30 with a community BBQ breakfast followed by fun and games for the kids, community stalls and a chance to catch up with League greats on the day.
